My name is Selena Marie, and I am a proud donor mom to my son, Johnathan "JT," a bright, loving, and loyal soul whose life and light continue to guide everything I do.

When Johnathan passed, my world changed forever. He spent one week on life support, and during that sacred time, I held his hand, prayed for a miracle, and made a promise: his light would never fade. His final act of love through organ donation gave the gift of life to others. That moment of courage and compassion became the foundation for The Gift Beyond, a movement built to honor, remember, and celebrate the heroes who give life beyond their own.

Johnathan Was the First

Johnathan was the first in our family to become a Life-Giving Hero, and the first brave hero of this mission. Johnathan has showed me the power and beauty of organ donation. Both from those who give in passing and those who give while living. Each act of giving is a reflection of courage, hope, and unconditional love. But I also learned what was missing: ways to preserve their loved one's memory, to connect through story, and to feel supported at the end of life. From that realization, The Gift Beyond was born.

What I Created

The Life-Giving Hero Tribute Kits honor donor heroes and their families with tangible symbols of remembrance. Each kit preserves a loved one's handprint, name, and light for their family to hold close. These kits are now offered in partnership with hospitals and organ procurement organizations, bringing compassion, remembrance, and dignity to families in their most sacred hours. Because no family should face this alone. Because every hero deserves to be remembered.

The YESSIR Legacy Line

Johnathan's favorite word was YESSIR. A word filled with his confidence, humor, and heart. It represented his strength and the way he lifted others with his spirit.

Today, that word lives on through the YESSIR Legacy Line, a collection of storytelling wearables that link directly to The Gift Beyond Honor Wall. Each piece connects back to a hero's story through personalized QR codes, allowing families, recipients, and living donors to proudly share their Life-Giving Hero wherever they go. When you wear YESSIR, you wear Johnathan's courage. You wear every hero's light.

The Honor Wall

The Honor Wall is the heart of The Gift Beyond. A sacred digital space where families, recipients, and living donors share stories, photos, and memories. Each tribute is more than a name. It is a living reminder that love continues, that life carries on through others, and that heroes like Johnathan inspire hope far beyond their final breath. This is where every hero lives forever.

My Purpose

Through every kit, design, and message, my purpose remains the same: to preserve love, honor life, and bring light to loss. My son, Johnathan, is my reason and my forever purpose. Through this mission, his legacy and the legacies of so many others will continue to shine.

Even in grief, I have learned that love never ends. It transforms. It multiplies. It continues to live on through the hearts of those who carry it.
